As Salamu Alaikum to all,

 

This week at Iqra, we are pleased to host Shaykh Taha Abdul-Baseer from Harvard University (http://chaplains.harvard.edu/chaplains/profile.php?id=30). He is a specialist in Islamic Finance as well as a scholar in Islamic law. He and his family will be joining us at Iqra this Saturday where he will give a lecture and answer questions regarding topics relevent to Islamic finance and communal banking and credit groups. Here is the summary of this week's events:

 

Friday (Nov. 18)

1.) Jumua Prayer (1:00 - 1:30pm) - Brothers and Sisters invited

2.) Soup Kitchen/Lunch after Jumua (1:45pm - 2:15pm)

 

Saturday (Nov. 19)

1.) Islamic Law & Ethics (2:30pm - 3:30pm) - Imam Khalil (Asr Prayer at 3:30pm)

2.) American Culture/Literature: The Alchemist (4:00pm - 5:00pm) - Imam Shair

3.) Tajweed (4:00pm - 5:00pm) - Imam Khalil (Maghrib at 4:40pm)

4.) Arabic Language (5:30pm - 6:45pm) - Ustadh Ebad

5.) French Table (5:30pm - 6:45pm) - Ustadha Fariha

6.) Isha Prayer at 6:45pm

7.) Dinner & Guest Lecture (7:00pm - 8:30pm) - Lecture by Shaykh Taha Abdul-Baseer

 

Tuesday (Nov. 22)

Iqra Board Meeting with the Brooklyn District Attorney

 

Wednesday (Nov. 23)

1.) Ladies Knowledge Circle (6:30pm - 8:30pm)
