"Selected Islamic Wisdoms", is a collection of utterances of sages and general wisdoms gathered from historical sources within the Islamic tradition. The author, Shaikh Abdur Rahman Tahir 'Ajeb, was born in Somalia in the early 1940s and moved to Egypt with his family at the age of 10. He later moved to the U.S. for medical treatment and passed away in December 2011. Translated by NYU alumnus Khurram Tai, the book is intended to provide a culturally-enriching view of the Islamic tradition to a broad, multi-faith audience.
