i understand the intolerance, ignorance, and violence he is condemning which has become part of the Christian Right, but many things he seems to criticize like angels, Intelligent Design, and Satan strike me as odd because i thought he was the one who spoke well about religion. he seems to pick and choose what is "normal' or 'reasonable'. what do you think?
Yea, this is the problem some of my friends who I attended the debate between Hedges and Christopher Hitchens in Berkeley had with Hedges...I don't know if that's what 'liberal theology' means...to completely reject the 'unseen' as irrational and unscientific...or as a myth that previous people used to explain things, so 'they're not actually real like really exciting, but a metaphor' so take the lesson
in sha Allah, we keep to the middle path and not go to either extreme, with the help and guidance of God
